We have a sink!
After the first round with the plumbers we had the toilet in. That only cost 1200 dollars (for the plumbers).
Gregg and I had to do some work ourselves and now we have a toilet, sink and the shower floor.
I'm loving everything we've picked out so far. You may notice we have a few extra holes in the wall. That is how tight the fit is for the sink. It all has to do with the shower drain and floor joists. There is no room to spare for that sink top.
This vanity was oak and I painted it. It was the only one with this awesome bottom drawer. I couldn't just use the hardware that came with it either. How cute is that knob on the door?
Here's the part of the room I haven't shown you. This is the closet space.
Gotta love all the foot room for the toilet.
And this is what her bedroom looks like during all this. To say I'm overwhelmed would be an understatement. Yes, I'm going to tile the walls of the shower myself. Where do I get these ideas? For now I'll settle for no holes in the walls next to the sink. The plumber cost another $500. Now I know why this project took so long.
That looks awesome! We still don't have our internet!! It is driving me crazy. We get by on this pocket wifi, but it can be so slow and sometimes it doesn't even work at all. I gave up trying to blog until I get our real internet hooked up. We have been waiting for the internet company to come and hook it up for about two weeks now. A person could die waiting for the internet company. Customer service is not their strong point around here. Doug has been practicing his Aussie accent. He wanted to pass along a sentence to Gregg and tell him that if can't say it, he needs Aussie speech therapy. (Doug still remembers the words Gregg gave James to say to see if James needed speech therapy when he was little). OK here is the sentence that Doug says hits all the Aussie words and accents: "That kid did a fantastic job taking the rubbish out to the garage." I'm sure it sounds better when an Australia says is than Doug. Miss you guys. Hopefully we'll get internet soon. When we have internet I can skype and call people.
