Still Time...

for one more project before the year is over. This is the before of our bathroom. One big ugly mirror across the whole vanity. We put up those lights a few years ago.
First thing, get rid of that mirror!

What do you do with a mirror that size?

In anticipation of this moment I had painted the wall in a unique pattern. The holes are from changing the light fixture from one to two.

Take notice of this medicine cabinet and the outlet, you'll be seeing them again. Hi Binky.

Is this a new fashion statement?

Notice who works the tools and who assists.

Part the way there....stay tuned for the conclusion of this project. A special thanks to Blakelee for providing the photography.

2010 Ornaments

One of our Christmas traditions is for everyone to get an ornament on Christmas
Eve.
They are significant to something in that persons life from that year.

I don't always enjoy the hunt for the next ornament. Sometimes it's hard to think of something.
The joy comes in decorating the tree and remembering all the milestones.

When you move out you get to take your ornaments with you to start your own Christmas decorations. So far no one has left.

A Christmas wrench for my handyman.
Merry Christmas 2010!

Christmas morning

Waiting by the stockings.
Looks like Keely is the slow one. I can't be photographed at this hour.

I think everyone got what they asked for and had a very fun Christmas.

I enjoyed the holiday so much this year not having to work.

We had a quiet Christmas morning opening gifts,

playing with the new toys, (Keely got a cell phone)
eating chocolate, including chocolate milk with our crepes and just relaxing around the house. Later we went to the Adams' for more presents and a Christmas ham dinner.

Christmas Eve Pjs

Parker didn't pose with his package so here's another shot of the angel himself.
Christmas Eve dinner is at our house.

The Adams grandparents come over and bring the Christmas pjs.

The kids get as excited about this tradition as any other.

I don't know what Keely is thinking with this headband.

New pj clad and ready for Christmas morning.

Kids that like to be photographed.

Parker the Angel

Parker grabbed this stick and struck a pose. It took us a moment to spot his halo.

My elves

I decided to make caramel/chocolate pretzels rods to give out to our friends this Christmas.
While it was just as much work as painting gifts the benefit of having these elves help me was priceless. With this batch I think we made over a hundred and fifty of these delicious treats.

Donnelly Family singers are back

A contract dispute prevented the Donnelly Family singers from performing last year. After negotiations were settled we were able to perform at our ward Christmas dinner this year. We sang one line from about twelve different songs. This was from I saw mommy kissing Santa... Gotta love the kids part.

Twenty Years...and counting

November 24 2010 was our 20th wedding anniversary. Yes, we are old. Gregg has always made me laugh. I don't know why he is dressed like this. We've found joy in raising our kids, doing projects together, hanging out at home depot and just laughing about our life.

He enjoys anything outside (just don't go barefoot...hates that). Hiking and camping being his favorites, which we don't do enough of.

He's always reading something but doesn't always finish books or series of books. His mind is far to busy to concentrate on one thing. He loves his job as a high school counselor, we can't go anywhere without someone knowing Mr. Donnelly. He's a great dad and doesn't mind Parker nearly sitting on him when they watch football together. He works hard at his church calling and in spite of a few chips is a great dish person. He's almost always willing to go along with another of my home improvement projects. Christmas is his favorite time of the year (no home improvement projects). He loves all desserts, strawberry milk, disneyland, scooters and all sports, especially the ones our kids are playing. Cheers to the next 20 years. I love you Gregg!
