Happy Thanksgiving

Mom decided we needed new pictures for our blog so we went to downtown Reno to take these pictures. The photographer was Dad and the kids were the models.
Us girls modeling waiting for our bikes.

This wall/gate was fun to climb.

Lil Reesie
When Dad said individual pictures now, Parker said, " I know what my pose is gonna be." and we were expecting fighting warrior or ninja or padawan. But instead he was a corpse. Nice.
Blakelee wanted pictures of herself every place we went, and she wanted action. I guess just sitting and smiling are overrated in her world.
Me swinging on a pole.
Keely. This is Moms favorite background.

Happy Anniversary

It's been 18 years, 5 kids, 4 dogs, 2 hamsters, 1 teenager (so far), 2 houses, 8 cars, 14 jobs, 1 masters degree, 3 wards and too many friends to count. There have been alot of ups and many downs but we seem to be weathering it well. You would get a kick out of our wedding photo but I can't upload it myself, maybe another time. I'm grateful for the laughter as well as the tears. Gregg has been a hard worker and a good provider for our family. He has a way of finding the funny in everything. He doesn't like our kids to go barefoot outside in the summer but they do anyway. He's a computer whiz and an avid scooter rider. He works hard to stay in shape and keep up with the young guys on the basketball court. He's a big support of the kids athletic activities and doesn't get all crazy about it like me. What a good dad and husband. Looking forward to the next 18 and beyond.

The reason for our trip

Here she is Faith Ann Field, born Oct 8. Little sister to Spencer, James and Katie. This picture does not do justice to how cute she is.
Here she is being photographed by her father in front of the Hollywood sign complete with shades.

We just love this little girl.
Reese getting a turn, not easy with Blakelee around.
Waiting for Natalie at the Dr.

Blakelee just couldn't get enough of this little girl. Except for the throwing up on her. She wanted to go places so she could push Faith in the stroller. Parker informed me when we got home he was the only one who didn't get to hold Faith outside the aquarium. He was right, I have pictures of everyone holding her but him. A little late to speak up though.

Not done yet

Hamburger helpers.
The homies in Hollywood.

Just one more picture.

Johnny Depp, I don't know why this is blurry. His feet at least seemed normal size. I swear John Wayne wore a women's size 7.
Go George.
Reese had to find these hands and feet. She just finished the last Harry Potter on the trip. Parker called her a nerd because she reads all the time.

Love the tool man.
Outside the Disney soda fountain. We love HSM.

The Hollywood Field's. Looking good.
The Hollywood Donnelly's not looking as good. There was a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth on this hike. Not feeding them ahead of time was a major motivator to getting them back to the car. Parker wanted to know why we had to hike up there. I said to get a picture in front of the Hollywood sign, since he did not want to go he informed me that he would not be in the picture. I very forcefully said Oh yes you are! That argument just gave us something to talk about on the way up, as you can see I won.

The Crew

Where's James?
Here he is. Reese, Blakelee, Parker, Spencer and James holding Faith.

I couldn't resist a shot of this beautiful sky and look at those cute kids.

The whole crew outside the aquarium. The Field's and Cortney, the Donnelly's minus three and Grandma Adams.

The Aquarium

Feeding the lorakeets at the aquarium.
They didn't act like they were scared.

but what is this face of Reese? They were swooping around barely missing my head, which I don't think was a problem for shorter people.

Twins

It's so rare the Reese and Blakelee are dressed the same. I said stand by the tree and I'll take your picture, next thing I know Blakelee is climbing it, nothing is ever simple.
It was just over their bathing suits but I still enjoyed it. They were holding hands and skipping and chanting something as well. It's good to have a built in friend.

The Beach

We love the beach. The weather was fabulous.
It's a two block walk from the Field's so we tried to go often.

No big waves here because of that island out there, perfect for little kids. I saw Parker walking toward these birds. His intent obvious.

Success, accept they flew about twenty feet turned around and landed about five feet from where they started. I must have said something to him because the next day I saw him walk out and around the birds to get to the water. A few minutes later James and Spencer came along to run them off and I heard Parker tell James to leave them alone because they weren't bothering him.

March on Long Beach

The joys of Long Beach. While we were visiting the Fields on our yearly sojourn to Long Beach we got to witness the protest march for prop 8 (def. of marriage if you are out of the loop). Two thousand people marched down the street in front of Doug and Natalie's and we were there. It was a peaceful protest but some of the signs made us laugh. One about magic mormon underwear was the best. I applaud the LDS members in CA for working hard and standing up for the Lord's side. Alot of the hate right now is directed toward the church. Keep your heads up.

Dream on

Gregg dressing up for Halloween or wishing this wasn't dress up...hmmm.
This is as close as he's gonna get.
