Keep that ball rolling

I found some cheap shoes on ebay and now we are experiencing the joy of bowling.
Blakelee is leading the pack with her softball pitching skills but Reese throws a mean spare.

What Parker lacks in form he makes up for in power. Only the three youngest get to go for now because they had never been before. When they get better they'll take on the older two.

We'll for sure get our moneys worth out of our shoes before they are outgrown.

We did have a bit of a mishap the first time out that I'm not supposed to tell the whole world about. Parker broke the bumper. The bowling alley employee said he'd never seen that before.

We went back this week and it is indeed broken. Parker offered an idea for fixing it. He said they probably just needed some glue. Here are the scores. So much fun.

It's all fun and games...

til someone gets stung by a bee.

Reese and I were minding our own business staining this section of our fence.
When the bees from the neighbors hive went on the attack.

This is Reese just before here escape to the house. I managed to finish the job but not before one of the bees got me. He paid with his life. Here's a picture for you Reese was swatting at the bees with that brush in her hand. You guessed it stain flinging everywhere and I was in the line of fire. We can laugh about this now.

We got the ball

The day before Parker's birthday was the education day Aces ball game.
Previous post is me begging this man to throw us a ball.
He finally did and the teenagers in front of us got it. After the game Reese asked for a ball for her brother and he came through.

baseball and softball ALL day

We started at 8:00 a.m. with opening ceremony for baseball. This is the horde of baseball players in the league Parker is in.
Here's our little player. A few hours after the opening he had a game.

Next Blakelee had a game. She plays for the Mariners this year. We love her new coach and teammates.
We rounded out the day with free tickets to the Aces.

Thanks Scott's dad, we had great seats.

We hung around til the end so the kids could run the bases. They are over on the left.

Reese was heard to yell "this is the greatest day".
Out front of the stadium with the cool ball sculpture.

you can call me Super Fan

I went on a field trip with Reese and Blakelee to an Aces ball game.
It was education day and the audience was mostly made up of kids.

My efforts to get a ball did not pay off but I was photographed alot for the picture gallery.

I'm telling the boys in Blakelee's class to hold their mitts up high so the guy will throw us a ball.
