For our first act of summer Reese and I hit the thrift stores and the fabric/craft store. This is some of what we came home with. I couldn't sleep that night thinking of all the fun things to make.
First up the denim fabric. I have this cute skirt from gap that was just a little short, especially when sitting.
Here it is now. Since I couldn't match the denim exactly Reese suggested I make it look different, good idea. The waist band has these folds that I copied and sewed on the bottom. I even used pins to get everything straight and measured the same. Fabric is not my medium but I'm happy with how this turned out.
Wow, you've been busy. I can't wait until I have time to decorate my house. We flew to Utah Saturday. We might be in Idaho for some of the time you guys come :(. Spencer is already rebelling against the whole idea of going up there. Doug wants to see his Grandma one more time before we move and I guess I get that. She's 93 and you never know what could happen in two years. Anyway, do you guys know when you're coming? Nicholas is getting married on the 6th right? We haven't seen an invitation of course, but I thought that was the date.
