I've been painting. I've been watching Nate Berkus and was inspired to change the family room.
To keep the disruption to a minimum I've been painting one wall at a time. I started with the arched doorway.
Before a kind of gold/brown color.
After, brown with blue and white decorating colors. In the words of Nate I painted out that little cd chest and changed the knobs. I wasn't loving it at first but once the new knobs were on the wow factor went up.
The clock was originally a redish color. I bought a sample jar of paint several shades darker than my brown wall, painted the case and sprayed it with a gloss sealer. New clock to go with my new room. I'm hoping to get a matching frame for the other wall. Wall #1 done.
