Apple Hill

I took a page out of Natalie's book and went on a field trip. Ok it was really half a page because I couldn't quite bring myself to ride the bus and actually chaperone. Grandma Adams and I just showed up and hung out with the fellow, did our own thing and drove ourselves home. This is Parker and two of his buddies. His teacher made a necklace like this for everyone in the class.
Behind Parker is an apple sorter that put the apples in size order. That way when you buy a box they are all about the same size.
It was so hot we welcomed a moment in the shade. Grandma Adams with the class in the background.
Just one of the many carmel apples Parker ate over the next few days.
The tough choice of picking a pumpkin no larger than your head. It was a long drive and it was hot out but we had fun with Parker. Reese and Blakelee have since upbraided me continually because it wasn't even Parker's birthday and I went so far away. Last year their class went to Virginia City on their birthday and I didn't go. Blakelee said she is not going to let me forget this. Gregg went with them to Bowers Mansion but that didn't count because it wasn't their birthday. You can't please everyone.

  1. Yummy autumn fun! I'm so glad you stopped by my blog! Every time Natalie mentions you (which is often, believe it or not!) I think to myself, "I need to check out Jeri's blog." And then I promptly forget. :( I love your layout with the music!

Looks like you've been busy having fun lately! Happy b-day. It'll be great to see you in a bit. You're gonna love your newest little niece!

  2. Okay! Funny that I said niece! Although, Natalie DOES consider you a sister for all intents and purposes!

  3. Jeri,
It would be nice if Brittney went to Utah because Jeff will be in the middle of his semester and can't take a break to leave at Thanksgiving. He can go on a date or two, though. Does Brittney ski? Is there enough snow at Thanksgiving? Tell Parker she looks more like a girl when she's not wearing the generic white Tshirt from the hospital. We'll try to post more girly pictures. I agree, though, she doesn't really look like a girl in those pictures.
