Happy Halloween

Our two little trick-or-treaters.
Our scary pumpkins. Parker made the left one by himself. We both worked on the right one and I made the one at the back.

Let's Carve

Parker and I were the only ones around today.

We got busy and got the pumpkins carved. We had to move to the shade it was so hot in the sun.

Zoinks Batman

Pumpkin pizza for Halloween dinner.
Reese said she would trick-or-treat with Parker so he would have someone to go with. The apron is not part of her costume.

New Decorations

I couldn't bring myself to put out my old orange and black decorations in the family room. So I whipped up some new stuff. Spray painted these little pumpkins and added new stems. Glued spider web paper to the boo letters.
Painted some pumpkins blue, and wrapped styrafoam balls in brown fabric. Natalie sent me the spider sign, love it.
Got a free tile from Connie, Jacque and I designed the vinyl and she cut it out for me. Alot less stuff and it all goes with the room.

Bob Ross?

Gregg really got into the spirit for the ward trunk-or-treat this year.
People didn't know who this guy was.

Visit from the Utah Donnellys

Uncle Mark, Aunt Monika, Cousin Solene and Cousin Sophia came for a visit.
We had a fun time visiting and gathering around our big table. It was good to see them.

Is that on owl in our tree?

I was working on my super Saturday stuff in the backyard and a bird in the tree was going crazy.
I turned around to see what all the racket was about. I guess the bluejay did not like sharing the tree with two owls. The second one is on the same branch just lower and on the other side of the branch going up. We heard them later that night and saw them take off for their hunting. Awesome!

Turning the page

A few years ago I tracked down these cute hooks to keep my kids bath towels on. Since their towels look alike I thought this would help them keep them straight. It took awhile to get my hands on two "B's" and they cost $1o each but it was worth it.
Today I'm taking down a "B". Our Bree Bug moved out this summer and her hook has been bare since then. There will always be a spot for her "B" but for now that spot is empty. We are so proud of Bree and how hard she is working at school and her job. We still see her often and enjoy the time she comes to visit, do laundry, watch tv and rarely eat dinner (it can't be my cooking). Writing this I feel emotional thinking about our oldest growing up and moving on. Maybe she'll want her "B" at her apartment, she loves a hook. We love you Bree, you are a great kid!

Lookout Idol...here they come

Some of you may know that Gregg is the voice of the Lancers. He announces all the home football games for the high school.
So this week he roped Bree and Reese into singing the national anthem.
From the looks of these pictures it didn't take much coercing.
They look like pretty big hams to me.
