Bad Day

We started off the summer with a bang.
Too bad it wasn't fireworks but the engine going out in our van. She died right in our driveway, how thoughtful.

After a week of debate we had her towed to the mechanics for a new/used engine. She's back, we're happy and no new car payment just a small dent in our savings account.

Cheers for the Red White and Blue

We celebrated on the third starting early with our wards annual pancake breakfast.
Keely shoveling it in. Bree enduring our presence. I think she had fun.

We went all out with new tie dye.

Reese and Blakelee sporting flag toes courtesy of Becca (new neighbor).

Next stop, the beach. Blakelee exfoliating in the sand.

Hard to get Parker out of the water.

Waiting for the fireworks, eating time.

No Bree here so we took Kimmie with us.

Wierd ninja kids.

This camera doesn't do justice to how pretty the lake is. The sun was setting the water was calming down. Lake Tahoe is beautiful. Fireworks over the lake, even better.
Cute kids. It was a long day with sleeping in the car on the way home but a fun way to celebrate our freedom. We love the USA. We are so blessed.

Graduation Lunch

Bree wasn't available during the dinner hour so we went out for lunch.
Way better idea anyway, no one's there at lunch. As you can see we needed alot of tables.

Besides the good food the kids entertained themselves with their straws and the ice.

Our graduate.

Who knew ice with a hole could be so fun?

Here we all are courtesy of the waitress slash photographer. Thanks Grandpa Donnelly for buying lunch and to all the Donnelly's for driving all that way to be a part of Bree's special day.

Gettin crazy in front of the horse statue.

New cousin

As many cousins as siblings.
The kids were so excited to meet their newest cousin Sofia. She brings the cousin total to 4.
Even Parker wanted in on the holding.

They had a fun time with cousin Solenne at the pool.

Graduation

Yep, she did it.
And these are all the pictures I have to show for it.

Not so big om pictures when I get the camera out.

Grad Nite

The third ward has a long tradition of roasting the seniors just before graduation.
After sitting through them for 6 years it was finally Bree's turn. Gregg did the roasting. Not too embarassing but he did hit the high points of strangeness that is Bree.

These were all the grads this year.

Gag gifts are part of the show.

Lots of fun things from the young men.

I think this cone had to do with better driving.

Fun cake, fun girls, fun night.

Bree's fan club.

It was fun reliving all the uniqueness of Bree throughout the years. Way to go Grad!

Double Digits

The end of an era this year. Parker turned 10 on Cinco de Mayo.
No more single digits in this house.

I found some cute picures from over the years. This is the first day of kindergarten.

Our favorite boy.

Cute, fun and sometimes annoying.

We love you Parker.

It's been fun having our "buddy" for all the girls to practice their mothering on.

I still have those boots. They were a staple in Parker's wardrobe.
First time at Disneyland.

Not so sure about a shirt with flowers. It took some convincing that it wasn't a girls shirt.

Keep that ball rolling

I found some cheap shoes on ebay and now we are experiencing the joy of bowling.
Blakelee is leading the pack with her softball pitching skills but Reese throws a mean spare.

What Parker lacks in form he makes up for in power. Only the three youngest get to go for now because they had never been before. When they get better they'll take on the older two.

We'll for sure get our moneys worth out of our shoes before they are outgrown.

We did have a bit of a mishap the first time out that I'm not supposed to tell the whole world about. Parker broke the bumper. The bowling alley employee said he'd never seen that before.

We went back this week and it is indeed broken. Parker offered an idea for fixing it. He said they probably just needed some glue. Here are the scores. So much fun.
